CRIMINAL RECORDS CELEBRATES 4TH ANNUAL RECORD STORE DAY WITH LIVE MUSIC, EXCLUSIVE RECORDS, FREE STUFF, plus A VERY SPECIAL REUNION PERFORMANCE BY THE LEGENDARY NEW WAVE PIONEERS THE dB'S, THEIR FIRST ATLANTA PERFORMANCE IN OVER TWENTY YEARS


On Saturday, April 16, Criminal Records will celebrate the fourth annual Record Store Day with over a thousand other independently owned record stores across the country and around the world, hoping to bring awareness to the unique culture of record stores and to highlight the special place that the stores occupy in their local communities.

The day-long event at Criminal Records will include live performances by local, national, and international acts, sponsored by Red Bull Sound Select and featuring The Whigs, Cloud Nothings, 10th Letter, Methuzaleh, Sadistic Ritual, deadCAT, King of Prussia, Spirits and the Melchizedk Children, all hosted in Findlay Plaza in front of Criminal Records by Cousin Dan featuring tables filled with friends like WREK and WRAS, the Grammy Foundation, King of Pops, with gifts from Red Bull, Pabst Blue Ribbon, Aurora Coffee and all kinds of good stuff inside of Criminal Records with free tote bags filled with even more free stuff as supplies last.



Many record labels, indie and major, have produced over 450 exclusive releases that will be available for sale only at independent record stores like Criminal Records. (A comprehensive list can be found on the Record Store Day website; please see the link below.)

Record Store Day at Criminal Records is a free and all-ages event, with ample entertainment for all ages. The store will be open from 10AM until 10PM on Saturday, April 19th,2014

Criminal Records celebrates their twentieth fourth anniversary in the Atlanta community this coming August, the Record Store Day event is just the first of many planned celebrations.The independently and locally owned business is located at 1154-A Euclid Avenue NE in the Little 5 Points neighborhood, just east of downtown Atlanta. 

Store owner, Eric Levin, is also one of the co-founders of Record Store Day, and continues to volunteer as a full time manager of the Record Store Day brand. Record Store Day is now an international force striving for many goals, from the nationwide sales tax fairness initiative to the global artist rights cause. Record Store Day has served as inspiration for many disparate celebrations and he enjoys helping the many like-minded and independently owned businesses who seek him out.


However, Eric remains most proud of the continued success of his first priority, Criminal Records.
