DISCLAIMER: there are a lot of independent record stores that participate in Record Store Day. Not all of them will choose to participate in all promotions, or carry all releases. Just because a store is listed here does NOT mean it will have the goodie or record you are looking for. That said, find a store near you and check with them directly. It is always a good idea to be BFFs with your neighborhood record store.

Sheryl Crow is set to release her sixth studio album, Detours. The album marks the return of producer Bill Bottrell, who previously worked with Crow on her breakthrough debut album Tuesday Night Music Club, which earned the singer three Grammy Awards and sold more than ten million copies worldwide."This is the most honest record I've ever made. It's about being forced to wake up,"says Crow.

Reviews:

''Detours'' is the sixth studio album by American singer-songwriter Sheryl Crow. The album marks Crow reuniting with Bill Bottrell, who produced Crow's debut album, ''Tuesday Night Music Club'' and briefly worked with Crow on her 1996 self-titled album. The album returned to Crow's forte in roots rock. The album has sold over 700,000 copies worldwide as of 2010.

It was nominated for a Grammy Award in the category for Best Pop Vocal Album on December 4th, 2008. - Wikipedia

Sheryl Crow's "All I Wanna Do" placed a healthy #62 on VH1's fan-voted "100 Greatest Songs of the '90s," and at the end of the segment, the producers reminded us that Crow recently recommended limiting toilet paper use in an effect to reduce global warming. It was just a joke, Crow eye-rolled in retrospect, but also a reminder that the Missouri-born chart-topper remains agreeably unpredictable well into her 40s. (She was a backup singer for Michael Jackson during his Bad tour, allegedly dated Kid Rock after collaborating on a tune, and did a Stuff layout, in case you're starving for evidence.) As for Detours'"and cycling back to all that TP stuff'"she told Billboard that first single "Shine Over Babylon" is "environmentally conscious" and she appears to be headed into more heady, thoughtful territory. All she wants to do' is save the world? Not the Crow we're used to, but we appreciate the curveball.
