JIMI HENDRIX VINYL EP ON RECORD STORE DAY, NEW ALBUM THIS WEEK.

Did you ever think you’d be able to walk into a record store and buy a new studio album from Jimi Hendrix? And then return in a month to get a newly released EP?  People, dream big! 

This week we celebrate the release of VALLEYS OF NEPTUNE, a Jimi Hendrix album with TWELVE UNRELEASED STUDIO TRACKS. Of course, we’re also celebrating the relaunch of the Hendrix catalog and you see that pretty, pretty picture over there? That’s the EXTREMELY LIMITED lithograph of a Hendrix painting that some  participating indie record stores have to give you with the purchase of that NEW STUDIO HENDRIX ALBUM. They’re gonna go fast, so check with your local store NOW. (And keep this DISCLAIMER in mind: not all stores on this site carry the commercial or promotional titles we talk about here. Always best to check with your local indie record store to see if they are taking part). 

MORE GOOD NEWS: Coming up on Record Store Day, April 19 there will be even more reason for Hendrix happiness. Because among the titles being released exclusively for indie record stores on that day is this: LIVE @ CLARK UNIVERSITY, WORCHESTER, MA (March 15, 1968) a five track live album released just for record stores, just for that day!!  What are those live tracks?  Side A: Fire, Red House, Foxy Lady  Side B: Purple Haze, Wild Thing       (NOTE: As with all releases for Record Store Day, each individual store is responsible for bringing in their own stock, and will bring in what they choose. Also: most of these titles are extremely limited, so first come first serve is the rule of the day)
