RSD PREMIERES BRAND NEW FOOTAGE OF R.E.M. LIVE IN THE STUDIO

We are super-psyched to be the first place R.E.M. fans can see the live footage of  “Alligator_Aviator_Autopilot_Antimatter (Live At Hansa Studios)” a track from their latest release, COLLAPSE INTO NOW.   We asked Bertis Downs a little bit about what was going on here when the cameras rolled: “The back story is that the film was recorded on the band's last day of recording in Berlin-- at the famed HANSA Studio where Bowie, Eno, U2 and many others have made great records.  The guys played all the songs that were finished to date, and it was all captured on film by Lance Bangs and Dominic DeJoseph, and on tape by Jacknife Lee and his production team.    That room, like Berlin, just reeks of history and the mood and ambiance really shows through in the film rendition of ALLIGATOR.”
