RESONANCE RECORDS AND RECORD STORE DAY

RESONANCE RECORDS AND RECORD STORE DAY

There are three groups of people who make up Record Store Day: those who run the stores, those who shop in the stores and those who make sure there's music in the stores. That last group includes musicians and labels. We don't always hear about what Record Store Day means to labels, so we appreciated this video that Resonance Records sent our way. Resonance is a "young label with an impressive sense of mission", according to the New York Times, and itself proclaims that it's a non-profit jazz label with a mission. Their releases for Record Store Day certainly attest to their standards, their mission, and the quality of their releases. Look for these on vinyl in a record store on Record Store Day 2017:
