Rainbow records began business in mid-1980s; present owners have run the store since january 1998. We boast 20,000 vinyl albums plus thousands of CDs, with cassette tapes, DVDs and a smattering of T shirts and posters. Specialize in rock and roll music, although all genres are included. Store hours M-F 11 -7; SAT. 10-5; SUN. 12-4

Route 53 to Dundee Road west; take route 14 west 1-1/2 miles to barrington centre. Route 59 to route 14 east; continue on 14 past Lake Cook road for 1/2 mile to barrington centre. Lake Cook road to route 14 (northwest hwy) take 14 southeast to barrington centre. Our store is located between Rosati's pizza and Pik'n'Go convenience store.
