The Dream Machine

The Dream Machine is a record shop/community project/performance space, devoted to music and run by enthusiasts who wish to keep something independent alive.
It is somewhere we can share the music we love, get excited about new and old finds, and have an opportunity to see bands play live.
We try to involve as many young people as possible as there’s bugger all for them to do.
There are regular in-stores, plus bigger gigs every month.
There are slots available for people (young and old) to come in and DJ.
There are plans for a community radio station.
There is a fanzine about to be created.
All proceeds go back into the shop to pay the rent, buy more stock and most importantly to get bands and artists into the area that we want to see.

Herne Hill station (Zone 2) is a 10 minutes train journey from Victoria or Blackfriars stations. Turn left outside the train station, walk under the rail bridge and we are directly on your right.
